Joan Eleazer
Joan Eleazer is a fourth generation Dallasite and graduate of Hillcrest High School and the University of Texas at Austin where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics. She became a Broker/Associate with Charles Freeman Realtors in 1985 and has distinguished herself each year as a company top producer. She has been the firm's number one producer numerous times and was named a vice president of the company in 1999 and senior vice president in 2004. In 24 years as a Realtor, Joan has closed transactions totaling more than $430,000,000.
Her professional designations include membership in the exclusive Masters of Residential Real Estate Network. The group is comprised of the top 25 real estate agents across the Metroplex who specialize in the upper-end market niche and who have met the closed sales performance requirements. She also is a member of two other networking groups, a tool that has enabled her to sell many properties not available to the entire market. Joan is also a Historic House Specialist, a designation provided by Preservation Dallas.
Joan has been named by D Magazine one of the top realtors in Dallas several times and one of 29 “Power Brokers” in the city, a designation based on experience in the field, reputation and impressive sales volume. She also was named one of the best realtors in Texas by Texas Monthly magazine. Her commitment to our city and community is evidenced in her many accomplishments, which include her involvement with the Junior League of Dallas, Habitat for Humanity, The Crystal Charity Ball, the Cattle Baron’s Ball and the Ronald McDonald House of Dallas, where she has served as president of the Friends of the Ronald McDonald House Auxiliary. She is incoming President of Interfaith Housing Auxillary. Along with her daughter Layne, Joan was the chairman for the 2007 Equest fundraiser which benefits therapeutic horsemanship in the Dallas area, and is the chairman for the 2009 Genesis Woman’s Shelter Mother’s Day Luncheon.
As a Dallas native, Joan is most familiar with the areas in which Briggs Freeman specializes. These areas include: the Park Cities and vicinity, Greenway Parks, Bluffview, Turtle Creek, Oak Lawn, Lakewood, East Dallas, Lake Highlands, Preston Hollow and North Dallas, including Bent Tree, Richardson and Plano.
As a RELO® Relocation Specialist, Joan offers insight and sensitivity to the needs of families being relocated to the Dallas area. She extends the extra effort to make certain her clients are satisfied not only with their home, but also with schools, neighborhood and total environment.
In 2002, Joan added her daughter, Layne Pitzer, to her team, adding a new dimension to her business. Together they have reached new heights of achievement, evidenced by a new sales benchmark for the company in 2003. Joan’s husband Jeff joined the family-oriented real estate group in 2006, enhancing the team’s personal dynamic.
Throughout her real estate career, service has always been a priority, and those fortunate enough to have Joan as their agent have gained a wonderful friend.
"We've moved numerous times and have never had a realtor as attentive to detail and who has made the transaction run so smoothly."
